Ajrakh is an environment friendly ancient craft. Ajrakh printing, using natural dyes is one of the oldest techniques of resist printing and is one of the most complex and sophisticated methods of printing.This is a complete ethnic handcrafted exotic heritage applique cut-work art piece which with kantha stitch work by needle and thread has made it unique hand-made embroidery piece by the artisan. It is made from two thin layer of cotton fabric sewn together with kantha stitches. The top cover of bed sheet is of cotton cloth which has been cut with the help of knife and hammer of wood or by a stone piece which then pasted with another cloth on the other side of the bed sheet and then it is hand stitched on around the cut designs. It requires a great deal of efficiency in cutting and making this designs and very hard work to stitch on the pasted design. Can be used as Bedding, Bed Linen, Bedspread, Bed Cover, Coverlet, Quilt, Throw, Wall Tapestry, Picnic Rug etc. This is a hand processed bed sheet so we recommend for dry cleaning and if this is not possible then you may wash in cold water with very gentle detergent and get it dry under the shade.
